Video recordings and live lectures, as well as course readings and tests, make up online classes.
Students collect reading materials, engage with teachers and peers, examine grades, and track
progress through a virtual portal. Students can customize their learning since online learning
allows them greater control while using less infrastructure. This allows students to enroll in new
courses and study whenever and wherever they want. The process of teaching people using
virtual platforms is known as “online teaching.” Live classes, video conferences, webinars, and
other online technologies are examples of this form of instruction. It provides users with a great
deal of flexibility in terms of learning, teaching, and developing abilities at their own speed.
Here are some disadvantages of online classes:
- Lack of discipline
Discipline is the most crucial factor in all of our accomplishments thus far. Discipline was taught
to us at school. Students are subject to rules and restrictions set by schools and teachers. Students
are dedicated to following the instructions of their teachers. They become high-quality
government officials and successful businesses as a result of their discipline. Some websites and
colleges provide everything necessary for learning, but it is up to the students to choose.
Nothing, including robots, can force humans to be disciplined. Only the threat of failure and
punishment may motivate people to follow rules. - Ready-to-apply solutions
The solution must be relevant to the pupils’ current situation. Teachers must reply quickly in
terms of knowledge and inventiveness when asked a question in an offline class. When online
professors are asked a question, they have time to search for and answer it on Google.
Furthermore, because they anticipate the questions that students will ask, the top ten questions
and answers are written ahead of time. Some online instructors send a copy of the answers to
such questions to everyone. This is not a good practice. It’s similar to crowd-sourcing or traffic
control.
In education, this cannot be the case. This is one of the causes, given the current level of
unemployment. When presented with a topic, students only have one chance to acquire and
understand the core of the subject. Students require a dynamic, creative, and insightful answer.
You may easily forecast students’ futures and their grasp of the material if teachers prepare
ready-to-use solutions without knowing and assessing students’ curiosity. - More ideas and less ingenuity
During class, the student’s mind is free to express its originality. Teachers analyse students’ minds
and behaviour before teaching the subject in offline classes. The students are then taught
according to their ability to absorb or learn. Teachers who are in front of the camera are unable to
do so. - Finding a conducive learning atmosphere is tough.
Students can learn in a favourable setting at schools and institutions. They are dedicated to
self-disciplined learning and are eager to experiment with new ideas. We need to provide an
environment where pupils can explore their creativity and discipline. Taking online classes at
home creates a less conducive learning environment. The child might take assistance from other
members of his family. This is a significant disadvantage to learning at home. Students find it
difficult to concentrate on their academics even when they receive notifications or phone calls.
The offline class in front of the teacher is intensely concentrated on the subject, and no one is
allowed to enter the room. - Choosing the best courses and lessons is challenging.
Online learning is all the rage, and as more people learn about it, it will become even more
popular. People in developing countries are starting to use online classes as well. But it is for this
reason that organisations, businesses, and individuals join in online education programmes and
pay new teachers. - Pre-recorded lectures
Offline professors used to be dynamic and would shift their pupils’ focus from one topic to the
next. This means that students will be able to grasp and relate speech to crisis in real time as a
result of their exploration of creativity. - Overwhelming information
We now have access to knowledge about almost anything, as well as the means to obtain it
quickly. Our brains receive information at a high rate and in a variety of formats. We have data,
but we don’t have the time or the resources to analyse it or store it. Some people lack the
advanced analytical skills required to determine what is right and wrong with us.
While taking too many online courses or receiving bad online instruction is convenient, it can be
damaging to a student’s future. Lack of communication is one of the most noticeable issues in
online education
