The session on yoga was arranged at “ORISYS ACADEMY FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH”. The session was conducted by yoga trainer Mr.Manoj and Mrs. Deepa Manoj.The session was a really stunning one. It was an interactive session about necessary of yoga in our daily busy life.
Imagine an activity that increases your flexibility, strengthnes your muscles, centers your thoughts, and relaxes you. Yoga does all that and more. Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtile science ,which focuses on bringing harmony between mind & body. It is an art and science of healthy living. Yoga helps manage stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxing. It is necessary for us.
Little did we know that they are coming from Trivandrum. They are good yoga trainers and have their own yoga school at TVM . They taking yoga sessions online/offline and has got students from different parts of the world.
They spoke very much about yoga and most of things are very interesting. Yoga asanas helps to condition our body. There are thousands of yoga poses. Yoga uses asanas, focused concentration on specific body parts and pranayama to ‘Integrate the body with mind and mind with soul’.
In the session they talk about energy blocks in our body and its solutions. They show some yoga poses for remove energy blocks in our body and increase our concentration and get more energetic in a day. They also give instructions for doing pranayamas and discuss about its benefits.
They also noted positive effects on blood pressure as flexibility improves and aids blood circulation. They also noted that practicing yoga on a regular basis givess improved results and visiting dedicated yoga retreats help to focus their bodies and minds.
Thus yoga has two paths that are spoken of –one is of good mental health, that is finding a state of relaxation within the mind, a state of peace and to those who want to follow it, a state of enlightenment.
The article is written by Ms. Rubiya, an ongoing batch student of JSD at Orisys Academy for Skill Development and Research which provides skill development and training for young aspiring youth helping them fill their skill gap before entering the employment market.
